Dearest Family and Friends!!
"The attitude you have toward your mission experience is a reflection of you love towards your Heavenly Father and His Son and your respect for the priesthood." Preach My Gospel, 151
"Successful missionaries love the gospel. They are excited about it. And because they love their investigators, they want them to feel as they feel and to experience what they have experienced. To teach the gospel is to share your love of the gospel!"
Greetings from the city of the Monkeys! This last week here has been so much fun! Last P-day we just shopped and I unpacked and such. Nothing too exciting. But we went and saw this member for FHE. Her and her husband were planning on going to the temple in a couple of weeks. But she didn't pass the interview, so now she doesn't feel like going to church anymore. It was good going to see her and bearing testimony to her that she does need to go to church even when she doesn't feel like she is worthy and that everything happens for a reason and that she just needs to be even more determined to be ready to go in 6 months. It seems this last week we have met with so many moms who just feel tired and worn out and feel like they can't go on anymore. One lady that we were teaching started to cry when I showed her a picture of my family. She said that she wanted to have a family that was so happy. I felt way bad, I didn't mean to make her cry. But I promised her that if she would get her act together that she could have that kind of happiness.
English here in Lopburi is just as fun! Me and Sister Henderson teach the children! Yeah! And having a birthday this last week was way fun too! I woke up and made rice pudding! Delicious! And no-bake cookies. There isn't an oven here, so I don't think I'll be doing too much baking anymore. But we still have a stove top, so if you have any good recipes, send them this way!! :)
We went to eat at Black Canyon and ate some yummy sandwiches! That night was way fun because we got to watch the Joseph Smith DVD with one of our investigators. Her name is Cheri and she is 17. At first her whole family started learning with the missionaries. But now she is the only one still interested. She is so cute! I decided I love Joseph Smith. Weren't the pioneers rand all the early saints just so amazing! I feel so guilty because my life is so easy compared to them. I wish I had more I could do, more to sacrifice. Everyone needs to look up the story of John Tanner. And the stone cutter who worked on the SLC temple, his last name is Moyle, (I think :) but ya those are some great stories!! I love being a missionary! I'm so happy! The church is so true!!

Let the Holy Spirit Guide!
Greetings from Thailand!!
This week was AMAZING!! Valentines day we just finished cleaning the house. Man. It looked so good. I think what I want to do after my mission is go around the world cleaning sister missionaries houses. I think that would be so fun! Well then we went out to say goodbye to our little treehouse gang. They are so cute! Then we went over to Sister Guy's house and she made us dinner. Then we taught her how to make cinnamon rolls! It was so much fun! Tuesday was our "good works" day. We went around and visited less active members and took them cinnamon rolls. So fun! English class for the last time, sad! Sad saying goodbye to all my crazy little students! I'll miss them! But it has been fun! After english we had a lovely surprise! Sister Ae and Sister Tig had made me potatoe casserole!! Oh my goodness!!! It was huge!! And so delicious! Luckily the elders were there to help us eat it because it seriously was the biggest pan ever!! They are so good to me!! Weds we met with Sister Bun. She is so sweet! I just love her so much! Then we went and saw Phii Nok. Oh I'm going to miss her so much!! Packing up was crazy fun. I'm getting almost as good as dad at figuring out how to pack everything in so it fits perfectly! :) We left Weds night to go to Bangkok. We drove all night. Got to the church and it was so fun to visit with all the missionaries! Well my new comp is Sister Henderson! She was in the group right after me in the MTC!! We are serving in Lopburi! The city of the monkeys!! I'm so excited!! It has already been so much fun!! She is such an amazing missionary! We are going to work way hard this transfer!! Ok, so I've humbled myself and mom and dad... you were right. I should have practiced the piano more. Haha. They don't have anyone to play the piano here so I had to play for them in sacrament meeting! And surprisingly enough it turned out very well! We are going to start going to the church for lunch so that I can practice! How funny dad, you had just asked me if I play here. It is so fun. I really am so excited! Also funny story! Can you see that picture that says David Chambers? That was on the back of a piece of sheet music I found on the piano!! How funny is that!! Well I love being a missionary! I'm so happy! The church is so true!!

Oh, What Songs of the Heart!
Dearest Friends and Family!!
So good to hear from all of you! Thanks so much for all your prayers and support! I have the best friends and family in the whole world!! This last week went by so fast! It was such a great week! Last Monday me and Sister Lish decided to go take lots of pictures at UD Town. Its kinda like the gateway and just has a bunch of little shopping outlets. Its right in the middle of Udon. So fun! They always have it decorated so darling.
Wednesday we had a great adventure riding the song-thows out to Sister Homes house. It was just me and Sister Lish, so we loaded our bikes into the back too. It was about a 40 minute ride, and then a 20 minute bike ride to her house. But she was so excited to see us! We also went and saw Sister Guy and Phii Nok. I love them both so much! Wednesday night we left for Khonkaen with all the Elders.
Thursday was Zone Conference and it was AMAZING!! Oh family. I can't even begin to explain. It was about the Atonement and it just really hit me. Christ loves us so much. I just want to shout and tell everyone! We read so many wonderful scriptures. I just love the Book of Mormon! Well we had a wonderful lunch, and then...we went on a little vacation! We drove out to this mountain! It was SO fun! We all went hiking! In our church clothes! Type in "smithhere" in the google bar. It is Sister Smiths new blog and you can see all the fun pictures. We are the Isan Zone. So fun!
Well I'm more than likely getting transferred this Thursday. I can't believe how fast it has gone by. I have been in Udon for almost 24 weeks. It feels like I just got here! Yesterday was a fun day at church. I love the members here so much! We went out and saw Phii Nok after church. She is so funny and I just love her so much! She has had a hard life and just years of bad decisions. But she knows that what we are teaching her is true and she wants to be baptized. Its just gonna take a little bit of time and faith on her part.
Today we are deep sea cleaning our house. So much fun! I love Udon! I love Sister Lish!! But alas. I will go and do as the Lord commands me! Say tune til next week!! I love being a missionary! I'm so happy! The church is true! Loves!
Note to all: If you want to look at Sis. Smith's blog (the mission President's wife), just type in www.smithhere.com and it will take you right to it. Thanks to all for your love and support of Stacie on her mission. Love you all!!!!

Lord, I will follow Thee!!
Dearest Family and Friends!!!!!
Thanks so much for all your emails! So good to hear from you! (mom could you just tell everyone that I've started just printing off everyone's email, so it will take me two weeks to respond, but I will still respond! It will just take longer :)
This week has seen the highest of highs! and the lowest of lows. I suppose that is how life is huh, not just for missionaries. But over all it really has been a great week, we did what any good missionary does and ate lots of food! Last Monday me and Sister Lish went on a random adventure and decided to try eating at this high-so Korean restaurant. It was so much fun! We just got the buffet and there was SO much food! It was really delicious! Dad what food do you eat when you go to Korea?? Well then we went and did some shopping and then went home and did some baking! We made dad's strawberry pie! SO GOOD. But not comparable at all to yours daddy. Mom then we made the pumpkin dessert recipe you found for me. Except we didn't have any pumpkin, so we just shredded up apples. And it turned out so heavenly!! Like my new favorite dessert!!!
Tuesday- English was so crazy; as in we only had like 5 students and it was so quiet! I didn't know how to handle a quiet bunch of students! but it was still lots of fun.
Wednesday- We had an awesome District meeting. We reviewed lots of the stuff we went over in the training from last week. Which reminds me! This is what we talked about:
1- The Doctrine of Christ: The missionary purpose!
2- The Role of The Holy Ghost in Conversion
3- The Process of Revelation
*Revelation through prayer
*Revelation through the Book of Mormon
*Revelation through church attendance
4- Teach People, Not Lessons
5- We Invite, They Commit, We Follow-up
6- How to Begin Teaching (Ten points from Preach My Gospel on page 176-77)
SO GOOD!!! I LOVE BEING A MISSIONARY!!!
Friday we were going to go and help sweet Jade clean her house because they were leaving for Laos on Saturday. But they didn't need our help after all, so they just took us out to eat at Sizzlers! It was so much fun! I wish I would have taken a picture with her and her cute little family! She really has become one of my best friends and I'm going to miss her so much! She is so good to me and Sister Lish and made us peanut butter cookies! I single handedly ate 75% of them :) She also gave us her cinnamon roll recipe so Saturday night we made some cinnamon rolls! Oh man. They were so heavenly!!!!! I ate so many yummy treats this week!
Thanks so much for all your love, prayers, emails, and support!! I love all of you so much!!! Miss you!!! Loves

Press Forward, Saints!!
IT HAS BEEN THE BEST WEEK EVER!!! I JUST WANT TO WRITE IN ALL CAPS TODAY BECAUSE I'M SO FILLED WITH JOY :)
Well we started off last week by going to Khon Kaen, its about a two hour bus ride away from Udon. We met Sister Johnson and Sister Eyestone at the mall there and got some lunch. It was SO random, me and Sister Lish were riding one of the little song tows, the little taxi bus things I used to ride all the time in Bangkok, and at one of the stops, President Sua got on! (theBranch President in Nong Khai that took me and Sister Lish out to eat a couple of weeks ago) It was so funny! Such a small world! He was there for a meeting or something. It was funny. Well after lunch Sister Lish went to Roiet and Sister Eyestone came back to Udon with me! She served with Sister Webb in Srinakarin after I left, so we had SO much fun talking about that area and all the fun we had with Sister Webb. Its sad, I had forgotten about a lot of things already, but talking with her brought back all these fun memories! We went to Sister Nooy's house (the Relief Society Presidents in Branch #1) for FHE with our new investigator Phii May. She is actually living with Sister Nooy. We met her on new years eve. She recently left her husband and didn't have a job or a house, but she met Sister Nooy, who told Phii May she could just move in with her! The members here are so nice! How many of you would let some random stranger move into your house? Haha I hope none of you. At first she wasn't interested in learning about the gospel, just in learning english. But She came to church with Sister Nooy two weeks in a row. The she said we could teach her! So we met with her on the 23rd and then had FHE with her on the 24th. It was so much fun!
Tuesday was a blast! Sister Eyestone just has sooo much energy and so it was just go go go go the whole time! AND she LOVES to run too!! So we went running at the park!! Oh I was in heaven!! Anyways we went and visited Sister Bun. She is doing so good and just has changed so much since getting baptized! She just glows! She is so much more heathier too! The church is so true! English was so much fun too! I've started just making up these little work sheets and doing a spelling bee! Oh the kids love it! So much fun!
Wednesday we were out inviting most of the day. It was way funny we were kinda out in the country and talking to this man and his wife when this farmer guy come walking by with his water buffalo and the little baby buffalo. When the baby got like right next to me and Sister Eyestone it got scared and turned around and ran the other way! Poor little thing isn't used to big white people. :) haha. But then the farmer and the momma buffalo went back and got it and it was ok. We used it as an example with the guy we were talking to about how we are like the little baby and sometimes we get scared and run away. But Christ and Heavenly Father will always come after us and never leave us alone. It was cool. Then we went and visited this lady in the ward that sells bananas, we wanted to talk to her husband but he left when he found out we were coming ;( don't worry, we won't give up! We are going to try again tonight, and take treats :)
Thursday morning me and Sister Eyestone, and Elder Parkinson and Elder Black all headed to Roiet. It was about a 4 and a half hour bus ride. So fun! haha It was a beautiful morning! When we got to Roiet we met up with Sister Johnson and Sister Lish. Oh it was good to see Sister Lish! I had missed her! the four of us went out to lunch and then they took me to the church. Thursday, Friday and Saturday I was at the church for the "Special Leadership Training." It was for the Zone Leaders, District Leaders, and Trainers in the Udon and Ubon areas. So there were about ten elders and I was the only sister. Haha it was crazy. There were about two Elder there is on transfers 11, and I'm on transfers 6. The rest of them are all going home in June or sooner. I felt so young and inadequate! But it was such a great experience learning from them and from the Assistants to the President. President Smith was the speaker/teacher all three days. It was broken up into 8 lessons. I wish you could have been there! I learned so much! I'll write more about it next week cuz I'm out of time! I love being a missionary! I'm so happy! The church is true!! Loves!!

Do What Is Right!!
Dearest Friends and Family!!
It has been the most wonderful week! Before I forget though, I want to ask all you return missionaries, what do you think was the most important thing you learned on your mission? We talked about that this week at District Meeting and I'd like to get everyones opinion on it! :)
Well let me fill you in on the latest miracles happening here in Udon!! Ok so right now in Udon is like the mini Olympic games for all the high schools in Thailand. Its pretty cool! I wish I could go watch them play volleyball! But anyways one of the members that Sister L baptized in Srinakarin is here! She called to figure out how she could get to church on Sunday. It was kinda crazy because I wasn't sure where she was staying. She was so cute and was like, could you come pick me up? Haha I was like hmm I don't know how well that would work on my bike. But it all worked out ok! I called the Branch Presidents wife and she went and picked her up! It was SOOOO good to she her! I started crying and it was so fun to actually be able to talk to her now! (seeing as I was still a greenie the last time I saw her :) but it was so much fun! Everyone at church was so impressed that even though she was here playing she still made sure that she could come to church! Oh I just love her so much! Her name is Woon (remember me telling about her and her family?)
Well last Tuesday we got help from the Relief Society Pres. She drove us out to Sister Homes house and it was sooo much faster! It only took us like 30 minutes to get there! It was fun to ride in a car! Sister Home is so great and yesterday we set a date for her to get baptized on the 30th, so we will see!
Ok last Monday we wanted to have FHE with one of our investigators, Phii Nok and her son. So I called one of the sisters who has helped us before, Sister Jum, and when I started talking to her on the phone she was so confused and had NO idea what or who I was talking about. So then I called another lady and we got it all worked out. Anyways, so Saturday one of the members said that they wanted to take us to visit a less active lady and her family. And it was like Sister Jum that I had called on Monday!! Turns out there is two Sister Jums. :) But what are the chances huh! It was so funny. Don't worry though I got it all worked out which Sister Jum is which. :) But it was a neat experience talking to her and her daughter. She got baptized a year ago and has already stopped going to church. So sad! But we will keep working with her!
Last night you'll never guess what me and Sister Lish did. We had a FIESTA!! It was so much fun!! There isn't any Mexican food in Udon, so Saturday we went to Tops and got chips, salsa, beans, cheese and tortillas. It was seriously so much fun! I was such a fat dog!
Well we are going on Switch-offs this week! Sister Lish is going to Roeit til Saturday! Sister Eyestone is coming to Udon til Thursday. Then Thursday til Saturday I'm going to a training on how to be a good trainer!! :) I'm way excited but its going to be weird being away from Sister Lish for so long!
Well thank you so much for all your love and support! Seriously you all are the best! I love being a missionary! I'm so happy!! The church is so true!! Loves!!

Loves!!
